A note on fit: I'm selective about the work I take on, not because I'm trying to be difficult, but because the work I do requires full attention. If I don't respond, it's not a reflection of your inquiry. It simply means I don't see the fit I'd need to commit fully. I'd rather be honest about that than take on work I can't give everything to.
